Paulette Watson MBE is a globally recognised advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in technology, particularly for Black women and girls. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Academy Achievers, a pioneering organisation focused on bridging the digital skills gap through innovative programs like the #BeMeDigitalinclusion initiative. Under her leadership, Academy Achievers has raised over £1.5 million to empower women and girls from marginalised communities in STEM, AI, and Web3-related careers.
An accomplished author, Paulette’s best-selling book, She Disrupts: A Black Woman’s Journey in STEM and AI Industries, explores the systemic barriers Black women face in tech while championing AI’s potential when responsibly utilised. As an international speaker, she highlights the importance of Responsible and Ethical AI, closing the digital divide, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures.
Paulette’s expertise spans EdTech, AI, and digital transformation. She has a proven track record of leading impactful initiatives, including implementing Google Education across Newham schools. She is also a sought-after judge for prestigious awards like the Women Leaders in Electronics and Elektra Awards. She received the prestigious Freedom of the Borough award and is recognized as a member of the British Empire (MBE), an honoree of her STEM and AI education services.
Paulette continues to inspire through her international speaking engagements, community-driven programs, and mentoring initiatives.
