Joseph Cook leads the UCL Citizen Science Academy based at UCL East in the Olympic Park. The Academy is interested in all forms of citizen science, but focuses on citizen ‘social’ science – undertaking qualitative research with local residents to inform policymaking and planning processes. Some examples of zines from the Academy’s east London-based citizen scientists can be found here. Joseph also chairs the citizen science working group of the London Prosperity Board and sits on the steering committee of UCL Urban Lab.
